Practice

Miranda joined Chambers in 2012.  Miranda has extensive experience of; Inheritance Act and probate claims, administration issues, constructive trust claims, Court of Protection work, and complex matrimonial finance claims.

Work recently undertaken taken includes:

 

  • Cohabitee Inheritance  Act claim against multi-million farming estate
  • Challenge as to testamentary capacity in complex estate
  • Lost Will with bona vacantia issues
  • Estoppel in favour of farming son
  • Constructive Trust/Partnership in respect of property portfolio
  • Ancillary relief; £6m pre-acquired assets with trust issues
  • Court of Protection removal of deputy
  • Court of Protection contact by difficult son to disabled father

She has a particular interest in Vulnerable Elderly and Court of Protection work, including health and welfare issues.  Miranda is also able to advise parties and trustees involved in matrimonial finance proceedings.

 

Professional Reputation

Miranda has been a consistent entrant at Band 1 level in the Chambers UK Guide in the family finance section with particular recommendation for her Inheritance Act work.

 

Mediation

Miranda is an experienced Mediator.  She qualified with ADR in 2005, and has built up a successful Mediation Practice.  She is commended in Chambers for the quality of her civil mediation practice.
