Litigation
Members of Chambers are frequently instructed to act in leading pensions cases. Recent examples include the IBM, BT, Merchant Navy Ratings Pension Fund, and KMPG litigation. Members have also acted in a number of the RPI/CPI cases.

Public Bodies
Members have experience of advising public bodies such as the Pension Protection Fund, the Pensions Regulator and the Bank of England. They have also acted in the defence of those who are targets of the Pensions Regulator’s moral hazard powers, an example being the proceeds concerning the Lehman Brothers pension scheme following the group’s financial collapse.

Members also have experience in acting in an advisory role in relation to matters arising under various statutory pension schemes, such as those relating to local authority or NHS employees.

Regulatory Matters
Members are involved in regulatory matters for the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries.
