Members advise and litigate on all areas of UK and international taxation. They advise individuals, governments and businesses on their taxation strategies and needs.

Members are highly specialised in providing tax planning advice for individuals and trustees, including inheritance tax, capital gains tax and income tax. Typical areas of work include estate planning with the family home or business, the creation and operation of offshore and onshore trusts and corporate structures, issues relating to emigration and domicile and post-death reorganisation of estates.

Members assist on all aspects of taxation of charities. Members also advise on VAT, stamp duty and stamp duty land tax.

Members have considerable expertise in tax litigation. They are regularly involved in high profile tax cases from the First Tier Tribunal (Tax) to the Supreme Court. Typical work in this area includes:
