For the third year in a row, as part of our commitment to recruiting the very best graduates to undertake pupillage with us, with a view to joining us as tenants on successful completion, we are running an Essay Competition. The competition is open to all students studying English law for the first time, whether that be at undergraduate level or as a post-graduate qualification, such as the CPE or GDL.
This year's title is as follows:
"To what extent is the lack of certainty as to the remedy that will be granted in a successful proprietary estoppel claim problematic in principle and in practice?"
The winner will receive £500 and be invited to undertake a mini-pupillage in chambers. Mini-pupillages typically last three days and are a valuable insight into a career at the Chancery Bar.
Entries are to be addressed to our administrator Annie Girling at our postal address (which can be found here) and marked 'Essay Competition'. Entries must be received into chambers no later than 4pm on 30 April 2014.
If you have any questions about the competition, please email Annie Girling at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Attached below is a copy of the flyer which will be sent out to a number of universities and legal education institutions setting out the full rules of the competition.
