Barbara Rich and Jordan Holland will be presenting a webinar titled – Update on 1975 Act Claims by Adult Children: Miles v Shearer [2021] EWHC 1000 (Ch).

On 23 April 2021, the Chancellor of the High Court gave judgment in Miles v Shearer [2021] EWHC 1000 (Ch). He dismissed claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975 made by two adult daughters of the late Anthony Shearer, for whom no provision had been made in his last will.  Two members of chambers acted in the case: Barbara Rich for the defendant, and Jordan Holland for the claimants.  They will discuss the case and adult children’s claims under the 1975 Act at our webinar.
