What to expect at the conference
5 Stone Buildings is holding a half-day conference to consider and discuss the development of the law of proprietary estoppel in light of the recent decision of the Supreme Court in the case of Guest v Guest [2022] UKSC 27.
Proprietary estoppel is an area in which 5 Stone Buildings has always been, and continues to be, particularly strong, members having appeared in many of the leading cases over a number of years and former members having delivered leading judgments from the bench.
Led by Penelope Reed KC, who appeared in the Supreme Court in Guest v Guest, the conference will address issues faced by professionals and consider how the law in this area may continue to develop.
