Pupillage at 5 Stone Buildings is a challenging but rewarding experience
We recognise that the skills taught in pupillage are crucial if you are to develop a vibrant, independent practice at the Chancery Bar.
It is no surprise, therefore, that the programme we set for pupils is challenging. Pupillage at 5 Stone Buildings offers an excellent grounding with some of the Chancery Bar’s most successful practitioners.
However, we do not believe that this professional challenge should be complemented by a difficult learning environment. Our aim is to provide a supportive atmosphere in which pupils can work. Supervisors give constructive feedback and try to encourage and support pupils in developing their skills. Members of chambers are always willing to share their knowledge and experience when asked. We are a friendly set and pupils are welcomed into every aspect of chambers life.
In almost every year in recent years, we have offered tenancy to chambers’ pupil or pupils; we recruit pupils in the hope that they will in due course become successful tenants.
